BlueRing is a small circular PCB containing 4 x high intensity LEDs for the indication of IR battle events. The board is designed to be used with the MAKO range where it fits around existing Heng Long and Taigen IR receivers. Although designed for the MAKO range, BlueRing can be used with any other IR battle system that provides a 5V LED output.

A 300mm long 2 way connection cable is supplied. Currently, the cable is fitted with a JST-PH connector at one end for connection to BlueRing and a 2 pin DuPont style connector on the other for connection to a MAKO or MAKO TE. The colour coding of the wires is as follows: red-V+ and black-V0. No more than 5V+ should be applied to BlueRing. To connect BlueRing to a non-MAKO system simply remove the Dupont connector and connect the red wire to LED+ and black wire to LED-.

For installation of BlueRing please refer to the pictures below. Note: The BlueRing circuit consists of only a single resistor and 4 x diodes. Accidentally connecting BlueRing in reverse polarity will not damage the unit. The unit will only not 'light up'. However, connecting more than 5 volts will cause too much current to flow through the LEDs and damage will result.
