Hi everyone. This is still in a never ending work in progress, but Im pretty happy of how it looks so far. Over a stock tamiya sherman, I have added a working travel barrel lock, opening motor hatch, opening tank commander hatch, I instaled bearings in the idler wheels (thats the weakest part of the kit) and also some heatshrink tube covering the returnr rollers, which are prone to wear.

And then I added some more extra bits like towing hooks, lifting hooks, working turret machine gun, working searchlight and its powered by an ASP2

NIce, I do like your soundtrack choices - I'll have to find and add those to the Allied soundsets.

Was a bit concerned with the slower motion and in particular as you move off from idle. Should be smoother. It could be the Tami motors/gears and I really need to get myself a Tami Sherman.

Have you got inertia/momentum set up on your radio??

Hi. I am very very busy the last months, but nearly an the top of my things to do list is to make new sounds for the Sherman.
I am planning to reduce the volume of all the motor sounds. Definitely they are too loud for my taste... I mean, I know I can adjust the overall volume with the radio, but the problem is with so loud motors is not easy to heard machine guns and so on. I also want to create my custom warm engine start sound (the cold one lasts something about 35 seconds. I LOVE IT, lol)

But if everything goes like planned, my idea is to have all the sounds for the sherman this year, so once I have the full soundset I'll send it to you, so you can upload it on the forum if you want. I added a ton user sounds, (radio voices, explosions, songs...) so I'd need to make a video 2 hours long to show all of them, lol. Bot no worries, I'll send everything to you.

About the momentum, I have it in some of my models. Due to I was in the street with two of my sons (are the ones that are running at the background :D ) and they played with the sherman too, I had the momentum disabled. I wanted them to be able to brake the tank instantly if needed, because you never know what can happen, lol.

About the slower motion, It might be a case of my bad skills driving when filming, lol. I'll try to do another video creeping. Also the tracks were a bit jammed with the dry leaves. They acummulate between the sprochet and the hull so I had to give a bit more of throttle.

If you buy a sherman kit, give me a ring before you assemble it, I have a couple of tips that can help you making your sherman last longer.

Momentum is always a problem I agree - kids or no kids. I want the ability to stop at an instant too. That is why the last version of the Asp firmware there are a whole lot of new things on CH7. If there is a 6-pos switch installed you get:

MG1 @ -100
MG2 @ - 75
MG3 @ -50

AP (2 shot kill IR) @ +50
Info request @ +75
HE (Normal IR) @ +100

If you then set up a further switch you have

EMERGENCY BRAKE @ +25

I setup my emergency brake on the GEA switch for an instant stop. If you don't have this function on CH7 @ +25 then you should update to the latest firmware. I guess you can have setting on your radio for you and setting for others.

As for the sounds maybe easier to just increase loudness of guns rather than of the hundreds of engine, turret and elevation sounds - note "loudness" not volume so use the "leveller" effect in Audacity.

Finally, if you are having problems with odd sounds play where they should not be playing then this is almost 99% a sound file issue - either:

A: The files are not in proper order on the SD cards. Can't stress enough to use DiskSort to make sure files are in the correct order

or

B: A sound file has been named wrong or there are too many or too few sound files in the root dir on the card
