rc2hl question

Just getting back into the game. I have an older 1.2 I think rc2hl and I am using it with an hk-t6a. I used this setup previously without any problems, but have messed with the radio settings to work with asp. Now I want to use it for and rx-18 setup. I set the hk radio to the settings you have on a post in the old forum, http://www.rctanksaustralia.com/forum/v ... =149&t=414 ,but the problem is, I cannot get the rx18 to start. I am pretty sure you have said to make it when channel 3 and 4 are at 100%, but I cannot get that to work. I have a red light on the hk receiver, and a green light on the rc2hl. Channel 5 and 6 the pots on the hk-t6a move the attached servos as expected, just can't start the rx18 up.
Can anyone post their t6config or digital radio setup for a 6 channel radio that works with an rc2hl and the rx18?
p.s. I have verified the rx18s are good by adding the old TX board and using the old controller to start.
