Hi guys, i brought a Heng Long Tiger at Christmas for my young fella from one of those stalls you find in the shopping centres around that time! Upon opening it everything look awsome!! That was until we went to drive it and my heart was ripped from me!! The tank cant drive but all other functions seem ok( turret elevates and spins and shoots bbs no problems!) we went to take it back but the stall no longer existed........ Bastards! So anyway we were stuck with it! Since then it just sits here collecting dust. Anyway it got the better of me recently so i decided to pull it apart and take a look!! Wow im no electronics expert but i was shocked to see what i believe to be missing chips (mosfets i think there called from ressearch) so now im not the happiest person! I dont have the spare money to buy all these fancy upgrades and mods! My question is i have 2 matching speed controllers from old cars and a Spektrum 6ch combo. Is it possible to run my tank off the 2 speedies????? I realy want to get this pressent working so my boy can finaly use it. If anyone might have some spares to donate i would be very greatfull and a happy dad! Please contact me if you can help. Regards Jon Cochrane 0438 467 654 |

Hi Jon Yes you can use two ESCs to control a tank For 1 stick control: You just need to program into your radio what the flyboys call a V-Tail mix OR 2 Stick control: Program left esc as throttle on left stick and right esc as trottle on right stick Doing this would not cost you anything but you would not have ANY turret functions unless you knew a bit of electronics and had a few servos lying around. Your best bet would be to find someone who has upgraded to a El Mod system or the like and are willing to part with their old HL electrics. Someone like Reaper for example ![]() Cheers Kevin G |
