Hi All
Ok lets face it the standard Tamiya IR Battle Tank fires one type of IR signal, responds to 2 and can be set to one of 3 modes. It can only battle with other Tamiya equipped tanks. That's probably about it as far as the bells and whistles go.
On the other hand
MAKO2 - fires 7 different types of IR signal 1. Normal Tamiya IR shot 2. Tamiya 2 shot kill 3. Heng Long Shot 4. Taigen shot 5. MAKO repair code 6. Machine gun IR 7. Flak IR
Along with this the MAKO2 system offers:
More realistic battle scenario with a magazine capacity. After all real world tanks don't carry an unlimited supply of shells so why should IR battle tanks?
At least 10 different modes of operation Battle Tank x 3 (light, medium, heavy) Bergepanzer x 3 (light, medium, heavy) Flakpanzer x 3 (light, medium, heavy) MAUS - a super heavy hitting battle tank
Recoil servo support
LED cannon flash support
Indicator LEDs that flash according to amount of hits received
PLUS With the aid of Remora - wireless communication of Battle stats and LiPo cell voltages to a separate LCD screen
AND THEN THERE IS... BUTIN Allowing you to do many things such as: Identify and credit tanks with 'confirmed' kills Calculate most efficient tank commanders (Shots fired vs No of kills) Implement a 'Friend or Foe' system to avoid 'Blue on Blue' incidents
Want to see the MAKO system in operation with a Tamiya MF then the video is just below...
Cheers KG

HI Frosty
The first run of PCBs will be here this week along with a nice new design. Mako has always run with SGS units (in Whaler form) and so now it is time for Tamiya and El Mod.
Cheers KG
