Now being tested the RC Tanks Australia Battle Unit (rcTABU) Mako. The MAKO is designed to be simple add on to an existing Heng Long IR battle system. Using a 5 pin connector cable the unit is simply inserted between the Heng Long battle system (IR emitter and Sensor Mushroom) and the RX18. Absolutely no soldering or disassembly of your existing Heng Long system required. Once installed the MAKO provides.
•Battle function with BOTH Heng Long and Tamiya Compatible systems •Hit indication LED •Improvements to the IR emitter circuit (increase range and reliability) It hoped that the first prototype MAKO will be on show at the next MBRCTC meeting this weekend Sunday 15th January 2012, Cleveland, QLD.

What there is an RX20 ??? Must have to do a google search for Heng Long RX-20 or even Heng Long Rx 20 without the hypen and see what comes up. Yeah I've even amazed myself. I will be having to get these boards made up in China though. I've sent the design for the old ATRC to a company in China to try them out. Hopefully these first ATRC boards will get here within 2 weeks. Then if the quality is good I will be ordering the MAKO PCBs. So if everything goes all OK the MAKO should be available for purchase in 6 - 8 weeks. Cheers

That's great news about the new features.
When will the MAMBA board be available?
Ian.

Hey Ian
Sorry for the late reply. The MAMBA is due late next month. Now that the MAKO, ATRC, RC2HL & PotHead boards are all out there I can resume work on MAMBA.
For anyone who knows Dutch there is a nice review of the MAKO system on the Battle Tanks Nertherlands Forum:
Cheers Kevin G
